In celebrating Green flowers, with joy, we invite you to attune to Green Nicotiana this month.

The Green Nicotiana 🌱 Archetype

A series of Green Orchids and other green flowers were researched by Steve Johnson of Alaskan Essences. With Steve, we learned to perceive green flowers as helping us attune to plants with our hearts, while experiencing full reconnection with the whole of Life.

Green flower research has been further expanded by Patricia Kaminski and Richard Katz of the Flower Essence Society, who have shared deep insight into the flower essence use of Lady's Mantle, Green Nicotiana, Green Bells of Ireland, and Green Rose.

From Nicotiana in white color, to Green Nicotiana

At Terra Flora, where Patricia Kaminski, Richard Katz, and their team of dedicated collaborators tend to their Biodynamic gardens, at a certain point, from white Nicotiana alata they had been cultivating, a spontaneous appearance happened of a green variety of Nicotiana.

They continued replanting the seeds of this green Nicotiana, from which they eventually prepared the Green Nicotiana flower essence.

This essence is also one of the components of their Grounding Green flower essence formula, which is so helpful for all of us at this time.

Part of the Solanaceae or nightshade botanical family, these Nicotiana flowers are cultivated garden varieties of the tobacco plant.

This Month's Open Circle

In our upcoming Open Circle, we'll consider the historical ritual use of the tobacco plant, and how this has become transfigured in a culture driven by the anxiety of "never enough".

I'll also bring insights from the work of the late Astrologer and fellow Flower Essence Practitioner Donna Cunningham, MSW, who left us precious Astrology and flower essence publications, and a pair of insightful books on the Spiritual Dimensions of healing Addictions.

We'll attune to Green Nicotiana to receive insights on how we can relearn spacious breathing and presence in Circle, so we can reencounter attunement to the rhythm of the heart of our Earth.

In collaboration with the plant's wisdom, we can gain deeper insight to embrace and integrate collective patterns of trauma in new ways that can lead to renewal, so we can be part of cultivating a better future.

Let us gather the qualities and gifts emanated by Green Nicotiana, that speak to our individual and collective needs and can be healing for all of us.
