Buttercup and the worth we don’t have to earn 🌼

Reader, do you ever notice how difficult it can be to simply stop?

To rest without feeling like you should be doing something.

To receive help without immediately needing to give something back.

To finish something when it’s good enough, rather than perfecting it long past the point of improvement.

Or to make a small mistake without letting it mean something negative about you.

These patterns have been on my mind as I’ve been recording the Value pillar for Sovereign Ground.

At the heart of this pillar is my belief that:

Our worth is inherent—not something we continually have to earn through productivity, perfection, or endless giving.

🌼

One of my favorite flower essence allies for this work is Buttercup.

Its small, glossy yellow flowers have an unusual ability to reflect light—the familiar “buttercup glow” you may remember from childhood.

And that feels beautifully aligned with the essence itself.

Buttercup helps us recognize the value and inner light that is already there, especially when we believe our contribution is too small or insignificant to matter.

It reminds us that our worth does not depend on how much we produce.

In Sovereign Ground, we’ll explore Value as one of the Five Pillars of Sovereignty, alongside Visibility, Voice, Desire, and Power—and work with Buttercup, Lady Banks Rose, Gold, Pyrite, and other essence allies around this theme.

If this speaks to something you’ve been working with:

The course opens October 22.

Early Bird enrollment is $198 through Friday, October 16.
After that, tuition is $275.

Keep flowering,

💗 Rochana

In this month's live chat, let's talk about essences and practices that can help us access our inner authority and personal power — that inherent quiet force, resilience, and potential that originates within us. How can we remain firm, calm, and capable when...

Before I make a flower essence, I create a container. I call the directions, connect with spirit and the plant, and begin the work within a space that feels intentionally held. I’m bringing that same practice into Sovereign Ground. We’ll be looking at difficult history, inherited patterns, and the possibility of conscious change. And I don’t want to begin by asking us to push through patterns that may have been trying to protect us. I want to begin with support. The first ally I’m calling in...

Flowering Reader, Years ago, when I worked in the corporate world, I had a strange little habit. I kept yellow file folders nearby. I was just beginning to learn about energetic protection, and I’d read about the solar plexus as a place where we both project our own energy and take in the energy of others. So before difficult meetings or sometimes just walking through the office — I would hold a yellow folder in front of my solar plexus. It may sound funny, but it was my way of creating a...
